Leadership Lecture Series: Bryant Terry – Food Justice features eco chef and food justice activist Bryant Terry in a great presentation. With the help of a Kellogg Foundation Food and Society Policy Fellowship, he recently started the Southern Organic Kitchen Project to raise awareness, develop policies and make “fresh, healthy, and culturally appropriate food affordable to community members.” This evening’s talk, which will be followed by an audience Q&A and a book signing, explores how poverty, racism and classism impact peoples’ opportunities to access healthy food and live healthy lives. 7 p.m. at Kenan Auditorium. Admission $9. For more information call 910.962.3500.
