In Concert: Ladysmith Black Mambazo returns to Thalian Hall for their second visit to Wilmington. Ladysmith Black Mambazo is a 15-time Grammy-nominated, world-renowned South African vocal ensemble first introduced to world audiences through Paul Simon’s acclaimed Graceland album. Ladysmith Black Mambazo has performed at two Nobel Peace Prize Ceremonies, for Pope John Paul II in Rome, for President Nelson Mandela, at the Summer Olympics and for the Queen of England at Royal Albert Hall. A film documentary, On Tip Toe: Gentle Steps to Freedom, The Story of Ladysmith Black Mambazo, was nominated for an Academy Award.
